I love this new cover SO MUCH. It captures the ferocity of the book and evokes so many. Start by marking “Mortal Heart (His Fair Assassin, #3)” as Want to Read: Annith has watched her gifted sisters at the convent come and go, carrying out their dark dealings in the name of St. Mortain, patiently awaiting her own turn to serve Death. I can't recall a histori 3. I can't recall a historical fiction book s within this genre that has been so beautifully executed with strong female characters. That being said, Mortal Heart is probably my least favorite book in this series, the second book Dark Triumph the best.

LaFevers did a very good job! The ending was open ended, but not without letting the readers know that all the characters got their happy ending. Ultimately, all conflict was resolved.

The resolution of the main conflict was brilliant and ended with a BANG! I never saw it coming…Okay, I did, but only because of me reading the robin lafevers mortal heart of the book!! Keep calm and read on, Old Review from other blog. I connected well to Annith through this book.
robin lafevers mortal heart Though I strongly disagreed with many of her choices, she truly stuck to her convictions and did her best not to let anything get in the way of them. I enjoyed getting to see Ismae and Sybella again. I also loved finally seeing the three assassins work together. They are all so different, but a great compliment to each other.
It made so happy to see Annith part of that, after she's felt pushed back for so long.
